Occupy Wall Street movement started on September 17th, 2011 with protests against social inequalities and influence of corporations on the government. It lasted until November 15th when the NYPD removed the protesters from Zuccotti Park, arresting 200 of them. The protest spread to other U.S. cities and gained attention in international media.
